The State of California is acting quickly to protect public health and safety as it responds to novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The state aims to provide the public with the most up-to-date information as it becomes available, and have created a resource for Census partners. Native People Count California is maintaining our service to California’s tribes and Native communities to ensure that all Native People Count in the 2020 Census in California! We are working closely with our partners and tribal nations throughout the state to continue to provide resources and support where needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Questions? COVID-19 Prevention Tips

We advise all Californians to follow the public health guidelines put forward by the California Department of Public Health, including:

  • Washing hands with soap and water.
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands. 
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick are all ways to reduce the risk of infection with a number of different viruses. 
  • Staying away from other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms like fever and cough.
